2013 TRIPLE DECKER CONTEST
 
Announcing a three part contest involving pencilers , inkers , and colorist with prizes and maybe a little fame. Each section will show case different aspects of building a comic page.

This is one of a series of contests that we plan to hold through out the year, part of our efforts to provide more than just a place to show your work.

PART TWO: INKS ON DECK

PENCILS: This one is for you ladies and gents who enhance the lines laid down by the penncilers  and give the page definition.

Starts May 2 and ends June 7th, 2013
The rules are simple.

1: Must use ink or digital equivalents .

2: Submit finished work.

3: One page only

4: Pick one of the following to ink.
   


5: Multiple entries are allowed but only one will place per person.

6:Submit to the Contest Folder at

Top 3 inks will be used as the template for part III of the linked contest.

Admins will winnow the field down to the top 10 (more if we get an avalanche of entries)
At which point you get to vote for the winners with the top three walking away with prizes.
Judges/admin can't compete in contest.

Deviant Art Point Prizes:

1rst Place- 2000pts or $20 via paypal and featured by *Tadpole7[link]

2nd Place- 800pts or $10 via paypal .

3rd Place- 400pts or $5 via paypal.

Cover Reloaded 2013 - On line contest!

After the success of the first edition, ZTN Forum, in cooperation with Winsor & Newton, Letraset, Cart Gallery, Etna Comics, Scuola Fumetto di Catania and the Dylandogofili Association, is proud to announce the 2013 edition centered on the cover of the comic character Dylan Dog of Sergio Bonelli Editore.

Contestants are asked to reinterpret past Dylan Dog's covers with a fresher approach. On the basis of their own artistic sensitivity, they have to review the dynamic, dramatic or epic aspects of a chosen cover, showing the ability of studying the character in depth.

The contest gives great visibility to emerging talents and will reward the first three (3) with an assortment of art products from Winsor & Newton and Letraset.

But this is not all… the first five (5) selected will be given the opportunity to display the winning and four other works at the CArt Gallery in Rome (www.cart-gallery.com), that specializes in the exhibit and sale of original artworks and illustrations pertaining to the world of comics.


The jury panel will be made up of people from the world of comics such as:
- Giovanni Gualdoni (Dylan Dog's scriptwriter and editor);
- Fabio Celoni (Dylan Dog's cartoonist and scriptwriter)
- Valentina Romeo (Dylan Dog's cartoonist)
- Members of the ZTN forum (promoter of the contest)
- Angelo Pavone (teachers of Scuola del Fumetto di Catania)
- Dylandogofili (biggest Italian Dylan Dog's fan club)

The contest is on line and participation is free!
The graphic work must bear the title of the story and must be in colour. The use of any painting and drawing technique is allowed (even PC's or graphic tablets).


Once completed, the cover must be sent as a jpeg file (max file size 10MB) with personal data by 11:59 pm of May 24th 2013. For registration and cover uploading use the following form:[link]
